ERAGON by Christopher Paolini

Eragon, by Christopher Paolini, is about a teenage boy named Eragon. One day, while he is out hunting, he accidently stumbles upon a polished sapphire blue stone. Eragon doesn’t think much of it. He only looks at it as a way to pay for his family’s next meal. A little later in the year, the stone starts to shake, and cracks start to appear on it. All of a sudden, a strange creature emerges from the stone. When Eragon pets the creature, a strange mark appears on his hand. Soon the secrets of the world around Eragon become clear. The creature he discovered is a dragon, and it is his job, with the help of his new friend Saphira to stop the king. The evil king is now hungry for power, and is starting to take over the kingdom. Since Eragon is the last of the Dragon Riders, he has to stop the king. If you are looking for the perfect book to read, Eragon is it. This fantasy – action book is great to read on a rainy day, or any other day for that matter. If you enjoy reading books about dragons, elves, and mighty warriors, Eragon is a great book for you. I really like this book because it was really interesting. It was a fantasy about Dragon Riders. A boy named Eragon finds a stone in the mountains. It turns out it’s a dragon egg. The egg hatches and Eragon becomes a dragon rider. He travels with another dragon rider named Brom whose dragon died. They face many dangerous adventures in the evil empire. Read Eragon to find out what happens to the two dragon riders…

I really like this book because it was adventurous. My favorite part about this book is when the dragon came to Eragon and he gained special powers. He used the powers to stop the bad people from killing the dragon. Find out if Eragon can hold on to these powers
or will the monsters win.

ERAGON by Christopher Paolini
Eragon is a young boy who lives with his uncle, aunt, and cousin Roran. He goes hunting in the woods near the back of his home, called the Spine, and finds a mysterious blue stone. He takes the stone to the meat butcher to see if he can exchange it for some meat or money. The butcher took an immediate interest in the stone. “Where exactly did you find this?” “I was hunting in the Spine,” replied Eragon. The butcher took his hands off the stone so quickly; it was as if the stone had shocked him. “I will never take anything that had to do with the Spine!” Eragon was upset, but couldn’t blame Sloan. After all, his wife had died there.

Eragon returned home and put the stone on his shelf. A few weeks later, the stone began to move. Suddenly it cracked, and the stone turned out to be a dragon egg! But Eragon wasn’t the only one with an interest for his dragon, Saphira. In fact, King Galbatorix (The unfair ruler of Alagaesia), had been searching for the stone. The elf, Arya, had been guarding it for over 15 years, and when she was captured, sent it to the spine for protection. That was when Eragon found it.
When Galbatorix learned that Eragon had the dragon, he burned down his Uncle Garrow’s farm. But Eragon’s uncle, who had been like Eragon’s father, was killed. Eragon decides to get revenge on the Empire, and is accompanied by the town storyteller, Brom, who trains Eragon in magic and swordsmanship. But Brom had many secrets, and a dark past. Will Eragon be able do defeat Galbatorix? He may not even be able to survive with his life…
