The book A Cinderella Story by Robin Wasserman, takes place in good old L.A. where Samantha Montgomery thinks it’s her fairy castle. Samantha is only eight and has no mom and she doesn’t like to dress up or have tea parties. Sam’s the type of girl who likes to climb trees, ride her bike and of course play softball. She and her dad love to play. Sam’s dad owns a restaurant called Hal’s Diner. Sam refers to it as (the coziest, tastiest restaurant in the valley.)
