INKHEART is an adventure book about a girl named Meggie, a father named Mortimer, nicknamed Mo and Silvertongue, and a book. It started on Meggie’s third birthday when she got tons of picture books and one chapter book called INKHEART. Mo got the book to read out loud to Meggie and her mother. But one day as Mo was reading out loud three evil characters came out of the book and Meggie’s mother was captured into the book. But Mo didn’t notice she was missing until he fought off Capricorn the villain, Basta his henchman, and Dustfinger the fire eater. Mo found out he had a special power to ‘read things’ out of books so he tried to read his wife out of the book. No matter how many times he tried he never read her out of the book. Nine years passed and Capricorn came back to look for the book he came from and the reader who ‘read him out’. So Meggie, Mo, and Dustfinger try to protect the book from Capricorn. If you want to know more about the characters what happens to them you have to read the book to find out.
