I think this book is a very creepy. This is the reason the book is good. Curled up at night in my bed reading, the witches stuck in my mind. My favorite part was when the witches took out their hair, gloves and other things. It was amazing how a whole room of ladies turned into a whole room of witches. If you read this book I promise you will have nightmares. Its fun!

The Witches is about a little boy who lost his parents in a car crash. He was sent to his grandmother’s house to live. His grandmother knew a lot about witches. She told him everything she knew about them. They lived very happy in Norway for a while, until they read the boy’s fathers will. It said that he wanted the boy to live in Norway. They had no choice but to go back. They lived there for a while and started to live their normal lives. Since the boys summer vacation they started to plan to go back to Norway. That is until the boy’s grandmother got seriously ill. They had to cancel their trip. The nurse said they should instead go to a hotel in England. The boy and his grandmother chose to go. Hotel magnificent was great. One day the boy started to play with his mice. He was training them until he remembered the manager said if he saw him with those mice he would kill them, so the boy went to the ballroom. The ballroom was huge. He went behind the stage curtain because he heard the manager talking. Suddenly a swarm of lady’s came in. They were a group that prevented cruelty to children called the RSPCC. The manager left and the women bolted the door closed. The head lady of the group stood up on stage and took her mask off. She told the other ladies to take their shoes, wigs, and gloves off. The boy realized they were witches. The grand high witch (the head lady) was talking about a formula that made children in to mice. After the meeting was over the ladies finally headed out, but one of them smelled the boy and he was caught. Were they going to use the mouse maker on him? Were they going to kill him? Read the book to find out more.
