OLD YELLER by Fred Gipson

Old Yeller by Fred Gipson

Old Yeller is a about a by that finds a dog. This dog saves his life when he was going to be eaten by a wild hog and the dog almost died of the horrible bit. When him and Old Yeller was healing his family tried to replace him with a puppy that the neighbors got for a gift because of the plain there hunting dog and son were in. Then one of their cows were sick and had to be killed in the wood. Old Yeller went with them and died a journey from a wolf bit.

Old yeller was awesome! It was cool how Travis was able to make his dog help him in different ways. One of my favorite parts was when Old Yeller helped Travis tag the boars. The only bad part was when Travis and Old Yeller were attacked by the boars. Travise's mom had to preform surgery right there! Overall Old Yeller is a excellent book, and definitely worth reading.

I loved this book it is great for third grade and up. My favorite part was when Old Yeller attacked the wild bore. There was action and it was sad. This book is a great book for true dog lovers. This book is sad and scary so if you like these kind of books this is a great book for you. I never wanted to put this book down.

I think this book is great for kids that like dogs. My favorite part was how the boy would always bond with the dog the way he did. Also it was cool how the dog would always protect the boy from danger. Also it was good how the boy became the man of the house when his father left and took after his mother and brother. Another part in the book I like is how the boy and the dog got closer and had a better relationship after what had happen to them
