Do you have a favorite book that makes you just want to read it again and again because it was so good, or have wanted to find a book that makes you feel that way? The City Of Ember is a book that makes you just want to read all day and night. The City of Ember is a book about a girl named Lina and a boy named Doon who live in the city of Ember. Every citizen in the city of Ember must be assigned a job at twelve years of age. For Doon and Lina it was time to be assigned a job. They are excited and already know what they want to be but don’t quite know what to expect. Lina wants to be a messenger but instead gets the job down in the pipe works. Doon wants to work underground in the pipe works but instead receives the job of a messenger, so both decide to trade. Doon wants to work in the pipe works because he has many ideas on how to fix the generator. Lina wants to be a messenger because she loves running around and exploring new and hidden spots of Ember. In their new jobs they will embark on many adventures. What will happen once Doon and Lina discover the hidden truth of Ember and the troubles that await them? Great job on the book blog! I can't wait to read the book.
I read this book and it was really good. My favorite part was when they told the mayor the truth about the city of Ember. He pretended to be astonished and said he would tell everyone but instead sent his two bodyguards to capture Doon and Lisa.I didn't want to put it down until I finished and found out if they were able to escape and tell everyone what is happening.

The City of Ember is a book about a twelve year old girl named Lina and a mysterious city. The twelve year olds pick their jobs for a long time. Somehow Lina gets the job she wanted, the messenger. Lina suddenly realizes that the city is in trouble. It’s running out of supplies that every city needs. One day when her granny remembered that there was something important missing, Granny and Poppy went looking in the closet for something important. Lina sees Poppy chewing on some paper. Lina takes it out of her mouth and finds a message. More than half of it is missing though. Lina needs to find someone who believes that this is important. My favorite part was when Doon and Lina find the clues .Who will believe her? Will Lina be able to save Ember?

I read this book too and loved it. My favorite part was when Doon and Lina escaped from the city of Ember. They were very smart to figure out this mystery and come up with a great solution. I loved how when they arrived at the new city they saw the City Of Ember right below and figured out it was underground!

The City of Ember is the best book I ever read. It’s full of surprises and adventure! My favorite part was when they got out of Ember and discovered that it was underground. On the top of the hill they came out of they discovered a big ditch. There was a crack large enough for someone to barley fit through. Lina and Doon went in and the tunnel stopped abruptly, not with a wall but with a ledge. On the bottom of this really steep ledge was the city of Ember.
