JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH by Jules Verne

How would you react if you and your uncle, Professor Linburk, were to go on a journey to the center of the earth? I would be so scared I would run away. Too bad Axel can’t do that. When his uncle finds a book with strange writing, he will do anything to find the password to the code. His uncle hides the key to the door and food until Axel finally tells him the password. The book shows a passage to the center of the earth but there are dangers there like monsters and dehydration.

My favorite part was when the monsters battle. Hans (the guide), Axel, and Professor Linburk are on a raft. They are sailing across an ocean under the earth’s crust. Two towering prehistoric monsters were battling about 50 feet away from the raft. I won’t say who won, or if the raft sunk, but it leads to danger. This part is detailed and interesting. That is not the only danger on this journey. Will Axel make it back to the surface, or will he face a terrible death? Find out in Journey to the Centre of the Earth by Jules Verne.
