THE SEA OF MONSTERS by Rick Riordan

Do you know a place where demigods, children of the Greek gods, roam, where a famous tree stands for protecting, and monsters are trying to get in? It is called Camp Half-Blood. Three demigods will risk their lives to save a friend and retrieve something called the Golden Fleece. Thalia's Tree is dying and the Golden Fleece is its only hope! Thalia's Tree is the only thing protecting Camp Half-Blood from monsters. Since the tree is dying, the monsters are slowly making it in. Once they get in, they will have a big feast of demigods! Will the other three demigods save camp before time is up? Find out in the second book of the series Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Sea of Monsters! The ending was my favorite part because it was suspensful, happy, and sad, altogether!

The book I have just read was called The Sea of Monsters written by Rick Riordan; it was an awesome book. It was basically about a seventh grade boy named Percy who is a half-blood. That means he is half magic and half human. During the summer he goes to a spectacular camp, it is called Camp Half-Blood. This year an enemy has poisoned the magical borders that protect his camp. The enemy is a mystery. Percy and his best friends Anna Beth, Tyson and Grover have to sail across the Sea of monsters to save their loved camp before it is destroyed. Read this book to find out what goes on during the adventure sailing across the Sea of monsters. If you like books that build suspense and are adventurous. Then read The Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan.

This is a great book. I'm not done with it yet, though so far my favorite part is when Annabeth, Percy, and Tyson arrived at camp and started helping Clarisse and the other campers fight off the monsters. It was very suspenseful though also very exciting.Another one of my favorite parts was when Percy was thinking about Annabeth. I thought that was very sweet.

I think this book was awesome! My favorite part was when they blinded the cyclops by poking him in the eye. That was so cool!
