THE FACE ON THE MILK CARTON by Caroline Cooney

Janie Johnson lived a perfect life. She’s smart, pretty, funny, friendly, popular, and has the best boyfriend she could wish for. That all went away at her lunch period one day. She saw a picture on a milk carton. It showed a girl named Jennie Spring. Above the picture was the word “missing” in big, bold letters Janie had never seen a picture of herself from when she was little, but she recognizes herself. The missing child’s information says she was kidnapped from New Jersey more than a decade ago. Like anyone would, Janie wanted to know more about this. She starts to explore her house for clues about this mystery. In the back of her attic she finds an old trunk. There are school worksheets that have the name “Hannah” on it. She also finds a toddler’s polka dot dress. It is the same dress that Jennie Spring was wearing in her picture on the milk carton. Janie believes that this is her, and she wants to find out the truth no matter how hard it will be to find it. Did she have two families? Did she live in a house with lying criminals? This is easily my favorite part because of the suspense and mystery it sets into the book.

I read this book and I really enjoyed it! It had many cliffhangers so you want to keep on reading it till the book is finished. I really enjoyed reading that book and i hope you did too.

Great blog! This was a really good book! I like the part at the end when Jennie talks to her mom because it makes you want to read the series.
